The mission of the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust, Inc. (IBCAT) is to increase awareness and improve access to breast cancer screening, diagnosis and support services throughout Indiana. The sale of breast cancer awareness special recognition license plates, as well as your financial donations, make this possible. Available through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, each license plate sold generates a $25 donation.
The breast cancer awareness license plate is ranked in the top tier of organizational special recognition plates sold in Indiana. Since the plate was introduced in 2002, tens of thousands of Hoosiers have received screening/diagnostic and support services through programs funded by more than $7.5 million in IBCAT grants. In addition, $161,250 has been awarded in college scholarships to students who had a parent affected by breast cancer.
